Manjishta is probably the most effective means in Ayurvedic medicine as improving metabolism and blood-cleansing herb.
It cools the blood and removes toxins from it, stops bleeding, blood clots and resolves  blood stasis.
Manjishta is good for all inflammatory conditions of blood and the female reproductive system. Its resolving action also applies to the liver and kidneys.
It dissolves stones, contributes to the destruction of both benign and malignant tumors.
Increases blood flow and promote healing of tissues that have been damaged by trauma or infection. Manjishta helps to splice even broken bones and thus is an excellent means of first aid.
Being effective in the treatment of blood toxic states, including genital herpes, it cleanses the liver, spleen and kidneys and regulates their function.

Cautions: shivering, high Vata.
